"I adopted a Plant"

This summer, when the plants are drying due to water scarcity. Go Green Club took an initiative to keep plants alive. Here students have adopted a plant, they will take care of their plant and water it throughout summer.

They tied a colored ribbon around their plant and daily bringing water bottle to water their plant.

This small act shows their concern abut plants and planet.

Go Green Club Meeting held on Saturday,24 July 2010

Hii All,

I feel very happy to inform u that the members of Go Green Club are working with great interest and enthusiasm in order to make the environment Green and clean. The meeting of Go Green Club organized on Saturday 24 July 2010, where many issues were discussed and decided.
Some important decision taken in this meeting are:
• Manish Asolkar is elected as new President of Go Green Club in place of Sweety Shah.
• 15 more plants will be planted on next Saturday.
• Manish, Anjali, Sweety and Umesh will arrange soil to protect fertility of plants.
• On next Friday, Speech Competition will be organized, which will be judged by Dharmendra and Ravi Sir.
• The prizes for Poster Competition will also be distributed to the winners on Friday.
• Uzma will bring some required tools used in planting and digging.

It was a very nice initiative taken by the students of DLC Chhindwara.
It is going to create a big jungle here at the hill.

Recent activity

Hi folks,
Last Saturday was a very enthusiastic day for GO GREEN club. There were excitement in the air. It began with Sucheta who brought so many flower plants, she believes that apart from being green our place should look beautiful too! Her friend Priyal came with plants and tiny bro - Priyanshu. All the batch mates with tiny bro worked together to plant more beautiful flowers.
Then there was so many silent and shy CPIM-11 students who worked silently and planted trees. Soon CCNA-4 group joined them. Then DELL student joined in very energetic way, especially Manish who was digging pits with very high speed. These all students planted 25 new trees. It was a great activity which showed working stamina and great interest of our club.

Go Green Club First Meet

Hi all,
Go Green club of DLC Chhindwara is activated again. We had it's first meeting!
Club has selected it's 3 active members who will be President and Secretary of the club in coming days. They are-

• Sweety Shah - DELL-1
• Umesh Chouriya - CPIM-11
• Siddharth Palak Khare - DIT-1

It was decided that -

• Aradhana and Preeti Bakshi will visit nursery and will arrange plants for plantation.
• Sweety, Umesh and Siddharth will collect member ship fees.
• Coming week will be "Create Poster on Environment" week, where all students will make posters on the theme and 3 best posters will get prize on next Saturday
• There will be 3 judges who will select best posters among all entries they are - Vipin, Dharmendra and Rakhi.
• Go GREEN club will meet on 9th July again .
